-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 2534 Oct 11 22:40 my-huge.cnf -rw-r--r-- 1 root other 2512 Oct 11 22:40 my-large.cnf -rw-r--r-- 1 root other 2496 Oct 11 22:40 my-medium.cnf -rw-r--r-- 1 root other 2211 Oct 11 22:40 my-small.cnf found in the support-files directory in your MySQL installation (usually /usr/local/mysql/support-files) and read about the my.cnf file in the manual at: 4. MySQL Database Administration -> 4.1 Configuring MySQL -> 4.1.2 my.cnf Option Files. This will give you a good start on setting up your server.
