I'm trying to make a copy of a longblob field in an ASP. I'm using this code:
Set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset") Set rs2 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset") SQLStmt = "SELECT `Object` FROM `Objects` WHERE `ID`=" & data & ";" rs2.Open SQLStmt, Conn, 3, 3 Set stream = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Stream") stream.Mode = 3 'read write stream.Type = 1 'adTypeBinary stream.Open() stream.Write rs2.Fields("Object").value SQLStmt = "SELECT * FROM `Objects` WHERE `ObjectKey`='" & object_key & "';" rs.Open SQLStmt, conn, 3, 3 stream.Position = 0 rs.Fields("Object").value = stream.Read rs.Update rs.Close rs2.Close and I get this error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Invalid string or buffer length when I do the second SELECT (the first works fine). Anyone knows what's going on. This code (almost the same code) works with Access and SQL Server . Thanks Nuno A. S.
