Is there any way to bind something other than the hostname to a MySQL instance?
I'm going to be moving a database from one server to another, and would like the scripts that reference that data to simply talk to "db.mydomain.com", rather than have to reconfigure things during launch. Is this possible? ari -- Ari Davidow Applications Administrator, Web Central Tufts University 617-627-4291 [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- Before posting, please check: http://www.mysql.com/manual.php (the manual) http://lists.mysql.com/ (the list archive) To request this thread, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Trouble unsubscribing?
