Hi I am a newbie and when installing mysql-4.0.0 on RedHat Linux I get an error message on mysql start:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql start I get a message: touch:creating /usr/local/var/dipalic.err:No such file or directory. Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/var /usr/local/bin/mysqld_safe:/usr/local/var/dipalic.err No such file or directory mysqld ended I would be happy if someone helps me out with this soon.
