Peter I suggest getting hold of the MyODBC drivers (you'll find reference to it in the mysql manual)
Once installed you can attached to mysql tables in MS Access, then use the report wizard in there to create your labels or if you are more confortable in word you can open the access mdb file with the newly attached tables directly in the Mail Merge function in word.
