I am using mysql 3.23.39 on Linux Redhat 7.1... I use the following queries,
CREATE TABLE t1 (a INT AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, message CHAR(20)); CREATE TABLE t2 (a INT AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, message CHAR(20)); INSERT INTO t1 (message) VALUES ("Testing"),("table"),("t1"); INSERT INTO t2 (message) VALUES ("Testing"),("table"),("t2"); CREATE TABLE total (a INT NOT NULL, message CHAR(20), KEY(a)) TYPE=MERGE UNION=(t1,t2) INSERT_METHOD=LAST; It gives an error, SQL suntax error at "INSERT_METHOD=LAST". when I remove the INSERT_METHOD=LAST property, it works fine...Is it that this property is not supported in 3.23.39 ??? Is there any work around... Waiting for ur reply !! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send FREE video emails in Yahoo!
