Just about anything, I'd say. Are you using the latest version of MySQL? Was it MyISAM, InnoDB, or some other table type? You're not using the 2.2.14 Linux kernel, right? And ermm.. well, that's all I can thin of now, except.. you didn't run myisamchk on the table while mysqld was running. No... nobody does that.
