What operating system are you using? The path vars etc are found in your mysqld_safe or safe_mysqld script, at least in *NIX systems

Namely, I want to change: pid_file language innodb_log_group_home_dir datadir basedir I viewed these, using the mysqladmin variables command. I'm using 4.0, and I'd like to know the easiest way to change each of these variables, because I'm moving the server to a different directory.
