I just set up MySql on my Win2000 server and everything seems to be okay. I can connect to the server with no problems using the command line and various utilities like DBTools. However, when I try to connect to the server from a different computer, I get the error "Access denied for user: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Using password: YES)" I'm positive the password is typed correctly... I've check it numerous times. I've also edited the user priveldges for the root account and have full privledges set for: localhost % 192.168.1.100 workstation2 (the hostname of the computer I'm trying to connect from)
I still can't get it to work for me though. What else do I need to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
