I can not connect to mysql neither do some tests: [hlutz:/usr/local/mysql] hlutz% mysqladmin version mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Access denied for user: 'hlutz@localhost' (Using password: NO)'
[hlutz:/usr/local/mysql] hlutz% su mysql Password: Sorry [hlutz:/usr/local/mysql] hlutz% I installed - mysql 3.23.47 (www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/mysql/ - seemed to install ok) - a "mysql" group and user in Netinfo (as described in http://developer.apple.com/internet/macosx/osdb.html) - automatic startup files (seems to work as I can see on a very short message during system startup) I tried a lot of things and all failed. I do not know if it is on MacOSX or on MySQL-side Which more information would be needed to get help? Is there possibly somebody I can call? (perhaps Germany?)
