I keep getting a port occupied error after doing a default RPM install for
MySQL. I have used it without incident on Windows and was surprised by the
problems. I don't have anything running on port 3306, but it won't start, and
gives me an error. When I type in mysqld it gives me the same error. How can I
reinstall it?

Thanks.
