The problem I am having is on a SCO Openserver 5.0.6a system. I
compiled mysqld-3.23.47-log myself as well as trying a precompiled binary.
The core file that is created when analyzed indicates that the problem occurs
in the libgthreads.so library when pthread_sigprocmask is called. It is
interesting to me that the test suite (make test) runs fine without fault. I
have run mysqlcheck -A -r to make sure a corrupt database is not the problem.

Just start the server and wait.

I have not found a fix. I tried compiling FSU-pthreads-3.8 but still
get the same problem.
