the GRANT command errors out when the domain name has a '-' dash in it. mysql> grant Select, Insert, Update, Delete on X.* to [EMAIL PROTECTED] identified by 'X'; ERROR 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '-tech.net identified by 'X'' at line 1 escaping the - makes things worse.
