I am using the following versions of mysql on suse linux 7.2:
frontend: mysql Ver 11.15 Distrib 3.23.47, for pc-linux-gnu (i686)
server: version 3.23.47
If I try to use the GRANT command I get
#mysql -u root mysql
mysql> GRANT ALL ON *.* TO root@localhost
-> IDENTIFIED BY 'password' WITH GRANT OPTION;
ERROR 1047: Unknown command
Any idea? Thanks!
