How is that that on two computers with same parameters, one with mysql 4.0.0alpha and other with mysql 3.23.47, selects and inserts are FAR FAR faster on 3.23.47 under same conditions. I mean its about 30-40 times faster...withs same conditions, hardware parameters indexes same database structure etc... Is that so?
