I am using the following statement in Oracle 8.0.6 and getting an error I
and I do not understand why it is giving it to me.

CODE:
CREATE OR REPLACE procedure primus_temp_dump_test(in_tab_name in varchar2)

execute_return_value integer;
last_function_code integer;

cursor_id := dbms_sql.open_cursor;
dbms_sql.parse (cursor_id,'TRUNCATE TABLE

last_function_code := dbms_sql.last_sql_function_code;
dbms_sql.close_cursor(cursor_id);

Error:
