Hi , im fairly up to speed with Mysql as i currently program in Postgresql on my linux box and Ms Access on my Win 98 box.
Nevertheless i am currently working with Mysql and i have downloaded gone thru examples and read the doc's. I have somehow made a mistake regarding MySql administration. I was initially prompted for my password as regards to mysqladmin. mysql> mysqladmin -u root -p create Thus my password was refused evnthough i know it was correct and i checked by using mysql my.ini.setup. Thus when i check the \s command i find that the current user is odbc@localhost Thus when i tried to hook up my completed Ms Access mdb file . it reads data source - sps mini utility database type - system desciption - blank thus fails to connect error - [Mysql AB][MyODBC] ERROR : Unknown database 'sps mini utility database' ODBC -call failed. Thus from the Mysql command line how to i change current user to user & localhost as via Mysqladmin GUI . It just defaults to ODBC (user) and localhost. Sorry this is a bit long but i just want to give you all the facts. Thus i can utilise this inspiring tool to full effect.
