Hey thanks i got it to work sort of

$query = "SELECT * FROM gigs  WHERE date > '$today' ORDER BY date DESC LIMIT

3";

that works
but i want it to show them ascending  and when i change it to

$query = "SELECT * FROM gigs  WHERE date > '$today' ORDER BY date ASC; DESC 
LIMIT 3";

it doesn't work

any thoughts?
