A confusion of tools - further research needed. GLADE (as in GTK) will interface to various scripting/programming languages. Various scripting/programming languages will interface to MySQL. PHP (and therefore C++) fit into that happy intersection. Others wiser than I could no doubt suggest more, but the most important part of any such relationship revolves around your own skill set!
