Hi , I m new to MYSQL. While trying to run the deamon safe_mysqld .I am getting the following message. *********************************************************************** ./safe_mysqld chown: unknown user id mysql Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/var 020408 05:30:51 mysqld ended
************************************************************************ Can anybody please put some light over this and guide me where i am going wrong.
