Thanks, but what I need to do is have make install install everything into /home/turner/mysql/test then I'll check everything out to make sure it is how I want it and last I'll copy it all to /usr/local.
Any way to do this ./configure --prefix=/usr/local (default) make make install prefix=/home/turner/mysql/test Thanks, Dave On Tue, Apr 09, 2002 at 05:41:08PM -0700, Jeremy Zawodny wrote: > On Tue, Apr 09, 2002 at 05:30:06PM -0700, David Turner wrote: > > > > I would like to make install to my home directory but can't seem to get it to > > work. > > > > make install prefix=/home/turner/mysql/test > > > > It keeps wanting to install to /usr/local even though I pass the > > prefix parm. > > ./configure --prefix=/home/turner/mysql/test > make > make install > > Jeremy > -- > Jeremy D.
