For my purposes, the 4.0.x builds I've used are just as stable as 3.23.xx if you ignore replication. 4.0.x replication has been a little funky but appears to have improved in the latest builds. So if you need replication, I'd recommend building your own 4.0.x from MySQL's BitKeeper tree. Jeremy -- Jeremy D.
