Hi to all of you guys,
I am new to the list and to Mysql. I have been observing the list for
about a week and I feel it is definitely the place to go to share
knowledge about MySQL (although right now I don't have any knowledge to
share in this matter, beeing new to Linux and MySQL).
My questions are regarding MyODBC. I have MySQL installed, server,
client, gui on the same RedHat 7.1 Linux computer.
1 -When I try to install MyODBC using the RPM file downloaded from MySQL
web site, I get the message:
error: failed dependencies:
libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by MyODBC-2.50.39-1
then I am returned to the prompt.
2 - Is MyODBC a client or a server software?
3 - Does anybody knows a good opensource software that can be used to
create front end application on Linux for MySQL connecting thru ODBC
