Hi there, I am wondering if there's a way of estabilishing a compressed link between a master and slave mysql servers. I know that a compressed client-server protocol exists. Do we have anything similar for replication? When replicated data is mostly text, such an option would save a lot of time, bandwidth and $$$ over not-so-fast links :)
