Hi,
I am new to this list. i could find solution to this problem on the net. i have a RH7.1 512Mb single intel processor. I have installed mysql-3.23.49a-max (binary). I have included the mysql.server script in the init dir and created links to it in rc6, rc5,rc3 and rc1 dir. I have created only one database with 18 tables. Only one of these tables is MyIsam table. rest are BDB tables. When the server is up, it works fine. but when i reboot the machine, few of the tables loose all the records they held before the machine was rebooted. This doesn't happen everytime. It happens randomly. One more thing i noticed is that when i run the 'show table status' it says 10000000 rows in the table that has lost all the records. Could someone help me here. help is greatly appreciated. regards, -- _________________________________________________________________ TP R Murthy (Systems Analyst) Cerulean Information Technology Pvt.
