When I try and insert a string into an integer field, instead of throwing an error MySQL accepts the insert and set that field's value to zero (I assume default value). I am using the php mysql module by the way (not PEAR). I would like to get an error when I insert the wrong data type into a column. Is this something I need to setup in MySQL or is the fault of the PHP MySQL module?
