Does anyone have an idea why it would take over 16 hours to drop an index on an innodb table. The table has/had about 1.7 million records. I used the sql query "alter table table_name drop index index_name". I issued the command before I left work yesterday and it was still running this morning. TOP reported 0% idle. -- Walter Anthony System Administrator National Electronic Attachment Atlanta, Georgia 1-800-782-5150 ext. 1608 "If it's not broke....tweak it"
