Sorry, I think I confused you. A batch file, calling mysqlhotcopy with the proper parameters is the way I would go. If I had to use Win2k, I'd use the Task Scheduler to run the batch file.
As to the parameters for myslqhotcopy, I don't know. I would suggest you read the help file or type mysqlhotcopy without any parameters and see if it gives you some help.
