It's not a correct statement, use UPDATE instead of INSERT.

If images are stored on the server, you can use LOAD_FILE() function:

f.e.
    UPDATE tblImages SET imageField =
    LOAD_FILE('/full/path/to/the/file') WHERE id = 999;
