I hope someone can tell me a bit more on how to integrate a MYSQL server with a windows network. I have a web server that is running IIS5. The internet user account is IUSR_Machinename. I do not want to run the database on the web server. When I tried this with Access it did not work because the IUSR_machinename only exists on the web server. How can I give internet users access to a database That is on another server? I would rather use mysql than Access and preferably run mysql on Unix but it is not a must.
