You could look into parted to resize partitions or copy the db to the desired directory and restart the damon with safe_mysqld --data-dir=/where/u/moved/db/to. I believe you'll also need to copy over the mysql database to the new location as well or mysql will fail to start. first, note your perms & users so you don't introduce a new problem.
