Mihail, Are you still experiencing these problems? We've seen the same thing happen our 2 of our slaves. It seems to happen for a day or two and then go away.
We've done a snoop while this happens and it looks like the master is closing the socket to the slave. However, the master reports no errors in it's logs. Mysql support suggests that it might be a hardware or os bug. I'd like to rule this out and get them to look further into the problem. Can you describe your hardware/os setup of the master and slave and the network connecting them?
