why is it that this doens't work?
INSERT INTO mytable (column0, column1, column2, column3, column4) values
($value0, (SELECT id from othertable where login='$ENV{REMOTE_USER}'),
$value2, $value3, $value4)";
the error i'm getting says that there's an error in my sql syntax near
'select id from othertable...'
i'm user perl with dbi.pm if that's any help.
