It looks like the entire text object is retrieved, and then a substring is returned from the text object. Are there any functions that only retrieve a portion of the text object? Meaning the whole text object is not loaded from the hard drive, and then a substring is returned. In other words, I would like a function that only loads a portion of the text object from the hard drive.
