Hi Andrew, We have a catalog database with 147 Million records, but size is only about 8.5G. It is a read only application and is extremely fast under mysql. Only have about 200 users hitting it, as it is a special database for a point of sale application. I think the biggest problem you will have is getting a single filesystem to be several terabytes! I don't know of anyone with anything that large.
