The bit xor operand (^) don't seem to work on 3.23.51 on both Windows and Linux.
A simple query like this (taken from the MySQL manual) will fail:

SELECT 1 ^ 1 

MySQL said: 

You have an error in your SQL syntax near '^ 1' at line 1
