Here's my bug report Version: MySql 3.23.51. OS: Linux linux 2.4.18 #4 Fri May 31 01:25:31 PDT 2002 i586 unknown Memory: 64MB + 256MB(Swap) Distibution Name: mysql-3.23.51-pc-linux-gnu-i686 I runned MySQL with the command: bin/safe_mysqld --user=mysql &, and all was done. When I tried to access to the MySQL server through the command: mysql, I receive this error: ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) Please help me.
