Dear sir
i am using Linux 7.2 as my OS and having mysql version
3.36.
i am a novice learner of mysql though i am familiar
with Oracle and sybase. when i got to no the GNU
publice license and open
source technology i thought of learning mysql.
but i have a problem to start with and i decided to
share with u to get some technical help.
problem
my sqlserver is not running
when i issue the command " mysql"
the response i got was " cant connect to local mysql
server through socket /var/lib/mysql.sock (111) "
when i issued the command " mysql.server start "
i got "starting mysql daemon with databases from
/var/lib/mysql
mysqld ended"
and the daemon ended abruptly without starting
the server.
