According to the manual, if INSERT IGNORE finds a row already present in the table, it does not update the row with the new data. How can I get the opposite behaviour? In my case, there shouldn't be a record with the unique ID I am inserting. But if there is, my recovery behaviour is to delete the old one and then do the insert again - I don't care what the old data was, my new data is correct for the new situation. Can I get MySQL to do that for me?
