I'm not running on OSX Server, but I am running on regular OSX without any problems. I just downloaded v4 of MySQL and am trying to play with it on my laptop. I'm getting path errors when trying to run it, but I haven't played with it much yet. You can download v3 from www.entropy.ch, which has step by step instructions on setting it up. I don't have any advice or warnings since I didn't have any problems setting it up.
