Hello all,
How do I stop a query once it has started without quitting the MySQL client? I have a MySQL daemon and client (v3.23.36) running on a RedHat Linux 7.1 box. I ran a query that joined two large tables (>300K rows each) on columns that I had forgot to index. When I pressed Ctrl-C, this not only stopped the query but also abortted the mysql client. How can I stop only the query?
