Hi! I'm trying to install MySQL as it's needed for a guestbook (PHP+MySQL) but I just can't get it to work. I've downloaded both 3.23 and 4.0 and used the installed, then installed them as services. Whenever I try to start the service I get a 1067 error and it terminates, seem to be no way I can get either to start :( I've installed under E:\mysql and I'm running Win XP with SP1. What do I need to edit/do after a basic installation to get MySQL running? do I need to change some configuration, if so, to what and where? Sorry for taking up your time with such (probably) basic stuff, but I really want this guestbook up and running and I have no experience with databases like MySQL :/
