Hi, You can use mysqldump (http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/mysqldump.html) to dump the file into a tab delimited text file or cvs. You will be able to open it in excel in those formats.
Alternatively (if you want to get a bit more involved) there is a perl module you could use called Spreadsheet::WriteExcel which will allow you to render a generic excel spreadsheet with query results and whatever formatting/formulas you want in the spreadsheet too.
