Whats better increase RAM or CPU for a mysql/perl app.

Hi List,

I have a word search application using mysql and (perl or mod_perl).

After all the optimization of code I now want to get a faster box.

I have 2 choices:

a. box with 1.3 GHZ with 1.5 GIG of RAM

or

b. 750 MHZ with 3 GIG of RAM

These 2 choices are limited by cost.

What would be better for a mysql/(perl or mod_perl) application the CPU speed or the need for RAM.

Views?
