Ok, I tried using the QUOTE() function exactly how they have it on the string page in the online manual. Needless to say, this has not worked at all...I get an sql syntax error every time. If anyone else has had this problem or knows how to write a sql statement using a different function that handles special characters like apostrophe's, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I am using asp on a w2k server platform. To run the statement, i've tried going through adodb, mysqlgui, and just plain mysql. Ideas?
