This was a general, not platform-specific problem with the SSL code. In
the meanwhile a lot has changed and it should be quite safe to enable it
again (I plan to do that for 4.0.5 on Linux as well). However, I've not
tried to compile it with SSL on Solaris yet - feedback would be appreciated.
