Hi! First, try connecting from the command-line mysql client. mysql -u root -p -h ser.ver.ip.addr Then enter your password (if you don't have a root password you can dismiss -p)
Also, if that works, try resetting cookies from your browser, as phpMyAdmin relies on cookie authentication.
