>Description:
I just compiled MySQL from source using the default options on my
Slackware 8.1 system. I then ran the test suite (as the document-
ation said i should) and one of the tests failed. I attempted to
force it to resume, but it seems to lock up (or at least take for-
ever to continue) after the failed test. I just compiled and in-
stalled the newer 2.4.19 Kernel, and everything else compiled just
fine (so far). Everything = Apache 2.0.43, PHP 4.3.0, Perl 5.8.0,
and XFree86 4.2.0(165). Since I am fairly new to this, I decided to
just follow the instructions in the documentation, etc. Those in-
structions were to submit a report to try to find out what the
problem is. The test that doesnt work is rpl000015.
>How-To-Repeat:
Fairly simple really, each time I run the test suite (MySQL is NOT
already running) and the rpl000015 test fails. I try to force the
tests to continue, but it wont go any further when it tries to
resume the tests. I did kill it and re-run it (forgot to kill the
MySQL server...) and and I got errors on all the rpl****** tests,
and some others stating that it couldnt start a slave (I figured
it was because I didnt kill the server) the rest of the tests then
continued just fine (i still had used the --force option).
>Fix:
This is precisely the information I am looking for. :)
