In theory, yes. But not for real. MySQL 3.23.x has a limitation on the
max_allowed_packet parameter, the max setting is 16M. This will prevent any
single field from containing more than 16M. This limitation was removed in
4.0.1.

2-3 pages is 'nothing', probably less than 10K. You should not see any
problems.
