Installing MySQL on Jaguar?

Hello all,

Could someone be so kind and share with this newbie where he might find crystal clear step-by-step instructions on how to install MySQL v3.23 on Mac OS X 2.2. I've looked through the manual and all I could find was one sentence talking about what doesn't have to be done but no directions on what does have to be done to install it. Am I overlooking something?
